Sounds super! For great clogging and music, go to The Stomping Grounds. Never been; would love an excuse. Check out their lineup of events!

This was meant as a response to Dave's post yesterday about Maggie Valley. Sorry I didn't do the quote thing.

That high in the mountains, summer is okay too. I used to live in Brevard, near Asheville.

A very nice RV park is Cascade Lake Recreation Park, but a bit of a winding drive southeast of Brevard. Other than that there are no full-service parks that I'd recommend. A couple of NF parks are close, but might be a shock for a big rig driver.

Amen to all that. It's a well-known music college and festival. Besides that, the mountains are beautiful any time of year.

Curvy roads.

Thanks Jeff. They saw me and were great. Shaved off - sent out. May need to see dermatologist for a Mohs procedure if not basal. But they said wait around a few days until report comes back and the site heals up. Either way - we can roll in a few days. If further procedure is to be done - they said we can do it down the road.

Thanks for the update, Bro! I was a bit scared until I Googled your back bump and discovered good news.

Basal cell carcinoma - Mayo Clinic

Keep on moving along the rainbow safely and in good health.

Yep!! Not bad news at all. And most likely nothing, with the exception of taking care of it.

Teicare has come through like a champ. A couple of $12 copays. Even got set up with prescriptions via Walmart (Tim) now. It's all good and like we always say - there is nothing that can't be dealt with on the road. It may take a little more looking - to avoid using the ER but that's why we carry cell phones, hot spots etc. Google is your friend. I must say I was surprised they didn't even offer me Tylenol. They did numb the area - but I've got the tequila hot poker feel in my neck... lol. Maybe Tim can recommend a place other than Walmart for some pain reliver.

Thanks for thinking of us!
