Our site is on the tight side with trees and mud making it interesting. I did get a round of applause from the neighbors after sticking the landing on the first try.

Probably cant post pics until I find a stronger cell signal, running at 1x.

Spending the weekend at Turkey Run State Park, near Rockville IN if any one is in the area.

Take care all, and good night.
Hey Ed! Can ya believe Bryce is just around the corner? Woot. Can't wait to see Jackie and Sheba again. Oh, and you too!

Sadly, Gunny's time has come and we have made the dreaded appointment for this coming Saturday at 11:30 to release him to the rainbow bridge.

With the cloudy times that started a little over 2 months ago with the passing of Thor the rainbow has been a little muted.
Don and Sandee, sorry to hear about you (yet again) losing another member of your pet family, especially so soon after Thor.

Saturday will be a very sad day and we'll be thinking of you.

Our hearts go out to you both.

I'm still dropping weight but slowly. Weighed in at the Docs day before yesterday. Still a long way to go but glad to be moving in the right direction.

So speaking of doctors... and health. Yesterday I remarked that all I needed to do to get Gary to post was mention the C word. It occurred to me that I was making light of a scary situation. Having lost my aunt Bonita to ovarian cancer I know the big C is no laughing matter.

As DaveDeb posted - keeping healthy and finding medical treatment on the rainbow is just like moving to a new city. You do your homework and take care of business.

RVM1 and I were texting about my situation yesterday and I want to share this with the mutant family... I told him...

"I'm sure it will be fine. If I croak today - it will be on the rainbow. Not sitting behind a desk working and wishing I had... I blame you." Lol... And I blame many of you other STMs too.

We have covered this in the thread on more than one occasion methinks. Time waits for nobody and anyone looking to retire - get a rainbow rider - become a weekender or full timer, or any other new life adventure needs to consider many things. But one important thing to remember is that Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans. Fear of the unknown is big - but it is out of our control. We need to step over it - go around it and let go of the fear.
No matter what you're waiting on - find the path - find the way, get on the rainbow and make it happen. You'll be glad you did.

I can honestly say - that if our life turned into a game of Let's Make a Deal tomorrow and we could trade for our old life in Plano - or go for what's behind Door Number 2 on the rainbow - we would take the rainbow - the unknown Journey before us, fear and all. Hands down a no brainer. The best thing we ever did is roll onto the outer rainbow, leaving the comfortable for the adventure of the Journey.

I blame you all and thank you for your encouragement and friendship. You are a mighty fine family of STMs!

Well - we have it on the run at least. How is Colorado? Our area is beautiful this morning!

Don't forget - we need a pic of MM in his fedora!

Life is a Carnavil

One of our favorite songs and bands!
Never no what's going to happen but we all just keep on truck'n.
Steve said it well if you choose to be afraid then the journey won't be half as exciting.
I will not go quietly into that good night!
Let the good times keep on rolling!

Woot! Love Yellowstone!! Who doesn't??? If ya can work a trip in to see - gawk - gaze upon the Grand Tetons - it's highly recommended. A great place to view is from the bar / patio of Jackson Lake Lodge. Have a coke and a smile!

Gee...it's been an emotional read here the last few days....I try not to pop in with silly drivel at inappropriate times.... So sometimes I don't post much..... Today I am hoping to get Honey loaded and maybe this evening we'll go off on a grand adventure. Fly in fell through due to non cooperative weather. Bob on his way home from Oregon. Haven't been feeling well the last couple days...thought I accidentally ate some gluten or dairy Tuesday PM, but it has never affected me this long...almost feel like I have an infection going on in my lower tummy. Maybe some rainbow time will cure it!

Marty, I got a real chuckle as I read your post. If I did not know you I could easily think that you was a Martin with a wife named Honey. You said, and I quote

Today I am hoping to get Honey loaded and maybe this evening we'll go off on a grand adventure.

Keep Honey out of those bars and I hope you get to feeling better!

I hear you and feel for you, Marty!
I got a dose of gluten from soup in a restaurant about a month ago. 2 days of yuck.
Best wishes.

LOL...... OK i furst read that as a MARTIAN rather than a Martin.... It actually fits better, ya know the fly in.....

But many times the silly drivel makes us smile and laugh and jyst feel better.... So fly in or pop in with the drivel more....
