Advice for all of you headed to Bryce -- there is one sorta grocery store in town with limited selection and very high prices. The closest real grocery store is about 30 miles away. I always stock-up in a big town on the way.
There is a gas station/auto repair across the road from Ruby's hotel. The gas prices were close to the surrounding towns. The nearest Walmart is a really LONG drive.

I've spoken with Dave - Jeff - Tim - Marty - MMDC and exchanged info with others in text etc. We're all pretty much in agreement that the group is small and planning should be at a minimum.
Most of us carry enough food and snacks to go around and can fit into a Curiosity Pot Luck. So I'm not really concerned about a schedule or using the email list or the website.
We don't have a room or pavilion so we will have to see what our site arrangement will permit / accommodate.
There are some limitations upon us in that Bob flies weather (wind) permitting. Jeepers jeep - weather permitting to some extent.
So currently we have
1. Ebenezers Friday night 8/21
2. The Great Mutant Smoke Out - I will smoke something... maybe pork butts... or try something new. Perhaps Sat 8/22. This is the night we'd need sides and other items for the Feast of the Mutants.
3. Mutants Benedict and Bloody Mary's - probably Sunday the 8/23.
4. And 1 pot luck - we can play by ear. Once a grill or two materialize - we can cook up various forms of burgers, Hays sausages, etc.
5. We need a day of picnic baskets for our visit to the park.
Colleen and Annie and I are discussing either a plane or helicopter tour... and I'm sure others have ideas.
Once we gather the curiosity will happen!
Annie and I have more plates, red solo cups, plastic ware and napkins than you can shake a rattler encrusted walking stick at. Nobody needs to worry about that! It's more than covered.
I am also thinking of doing corned beef and cabbage again - only this time I will do 2. The one just didn't go far enough.
Let's just stay loose and let this one happen. We won't open the kimono till Marty and Bob arrive on or about the 19th.
As for a drive to town - wherever that is - I don't think any amount of planning can stop that from happening. Someone will need to go for something eventually. We will improvise and get er done.
I also think Tom has some beans or chili or something in minds to put in those dutch ovens to use. Yum.
Can't wait to see everybody!
