20 miles from the midway point between Mpls and STP....sounds like a mini-C to me if'n I don't have a RAINBOW Rider by then.

Tim,
If you can't get a spot in PD, check out Oasis RV Park just off the Interstate. It's 30 miles from Oasis to PD. Check the scheduling of the PD Outdoor Show as it is staffed by college kids and it may only run till the end of August. We have seen it also and it is well worth the money.

Next order of business: purchase base plate, tow bar and brake buddy. Also, rear light kit (I think). Gotta read up on that a bit more. Our RV tech, Jeff, can take care of installation. We are jazzed!!!

Could be a nice ride... BUT, I need the keys for a couple days to check it out before I rate it... LOL

But I have kept up and know that many of you have been quiet too. So how about a a roll call... we have 120 of us - can we at least get a few long lost mutants to chime in with a scouting report or otherwise update on your rainbow journeys... regulars too. Where are ya, and how ya been. Can anyone spin a ponder or two? Let's hear mutants!

My unofficial count of the mutants that have checked in for the "Roll Call"...
Drum Roll... So Far, 28
Where is everyone else??

Thanks Wayne and Earlene I hadn't thought about the show ending! Was just thinking it might be easier to get a spot on return trip!
Guess if we have too we could always "get up early and hike the canyon".
Wayne ya'll must be having fun, your not posting much!

I'll call on a site. Have a friend in hospice that could delay our departure. Thanks anyway.

Understand about wanting to be with your friend. Kate and I both work for hospice organizations.

Richard, you will have to get the keys off the key holder by the garage door when Kate is sound asleep. Otherwise She might punch your lights out. Lol. She is so excited to have this nice little Fit to drive for work after driving a 2006 Corolla for many years. She put 216,463 miles on that Toyota. It never gave us one problem and was running like a brand new one the day we traded it in. (She wouldn't punch you, btw. Kate doesn't have one mean bone in her body. "Kind and gentle" describes her to a "t". )

I see how ya are, Tim. "Hike the canyon" means "scope out the trails through your binoculars from your lounge chair beside your moho while enjoying a refreshing adult beverage. I'm right, aren't I?
Seriously, if you're going to stop on the return trip, it's advisable to make a reservation asap...for both the camping spot and tickets to the show.
I'm calling the park directly today to see if they've had a cancellation. We'd like to stay tonight just "cause we'll be so close when we pick Bow up.
Ohmmms to your friend. May he or she have a peaceful transition.

I didn't keep count but 23% isn't bad.... but I wonder where all the long lost mutants have journeyed off to on the rainbow.
If you're a mutant lurker (Murker) take a minute or two and report in... we miss you!
