They have caves and lava tubes!

Natural Chimneys County Park. It's about 40 miles from us. $30/night FHU week nights, $33 weekends. We dismissed it as a county park. Boy, were we wrong. Pristine pool, three playgrounds, multiple picnic shelters, right along a river. Also caves and nature trails for the adventurous. We have Columbus Day weekend reservations, as well as two of the upcoming four weekends. October in the Blue Ridge Mountains is glorious.

Please let us know when! The roads in from I81 are pretty awesome until the last couple of miles. It's a bit windy and twisty, but several 44' tag axles were comfortably parked.
Clean dump station, older but clean bathrooms, and full grass on every site. Most are shady and all are back-ins, but if no one is in the site you back up to, it's a pull-through!

Today's trip to Cedar Breaks was a grand decision. It was a nice drive and a beautiful place. It was overcast and cloudy so we did the best we could with pics... but it was beautiful whether we captured it well or not. Here are a few...
The place has views similar to the Badlands, Yellowstone, etc.
The temp at 10+k feet was 51 degrees.

Beautiful views.
I am in Indianapolis while the Pace Arrow is in Decatur, as they repair my broken water line. Paying for that will prevent a Bryce trip, so post lots of photos for those of us who can't be there...
My empty driveway looks funny...
