Don't miss LA Posada Hotel in Winslow. Just walk around the garden and Have a meal or snack in the Turquoise Room there. Outstanding and beautiful.

Regarding the CO2, sometimes when the wind/breeze is just right the fumes will be blown in through any opening. There is a way to prevent this. It is called an RV Generator Venturi. Here is a search link for research purposes.

RV Generator Venturi
Thanks, Wayne. I have seen lots of posts about the Gen-Turi, but I always wonder how much of a PITA it is to assemble/disassemble with each use.

Any RVMs actually own/use a Gen-Turi?

Yes, we have one and use it. The one we have you are supposed to glue the upper retaining strap brackets to the side of the moho. We used big suction cups instead, and now they market them as an accessory. It keeps fumes from entering the coach (as long as your vents are closed). It comes with a storage bag and stows easily.

The concept is excellent, but I decided to make my own and save the money. After seeing how simple the Gen-Turi is to copy, you can make one too.

While tinkering with an improved design, I stumbled on a method to "fine tune" the bottom port to nearly silence the rumble sound. Works like a slide trombone in that you move the lower port opening "just the right distance" from the vertical tube and ... viola ... a sound dead zone is achieved.

Of course the primary intent of the vertical tube is to raise the fumes above the RV, so you need to have at least a two section tube so the rigging can be stowed in a bay or wherever. I made mine in three sections for nice compact storage in a duffle bag.

You may be surprised how fast assembly goes. Do it all from the ground, no standing on ladders.

Now comes the confession. In five years, I've only used the dang thing once. We rarely boondock and run the 17kW diesel generator.

Why are all of your photos not viewable? All I'm getting (on the iPad) are icons indicating a corrupted file or link. Problem on your end, or (highly possible) my end?

I did see the photo of your green bean pot but it was when MPH quoted it.

Wow, lesson learned Glad I don't recall hearing a group of mutant men singing, it may not be possible to un-hear it!

I look forward to a GC in NE. Won't matter what time of year it's held, I'll be able to attend!
