Yep. They are really pretty. Deep blue, very cautious and quick. Wiki says...

The Steller's jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) is a jay native to western North America, closely related to the blue jay found in the rest of the continent, but with a black head and upper body. It is also known as the*long-crested jay, mountain jay, and pine jay. Colloquially it is also referred to as a blue jay in parts of the Pacific Northwest, though it is a distinct species from the blue jay of eastern North America. It is the only crested jay west of the Rocky Mountains.

So yep, it's a Blue Jay. Also indicted that there is some mixing of the Blue Jay and Steller's Jay in Colorado.

They are just so hard to get a pic of here.

Sometimes I just have to learn to keep my mouth shut! While checking in here at Torrey I mentioned that those Peach trees looked ready for the picking. There was three trees and each was loaded with big ripe peaches. The man at the desk snapped back the peaches nor the apples were ready. So I took that as a keep away notice!

After pulling around to my site and getting set up I noticed a ladder near one of the trees with a pair of legs on it, yep they were picking their peaches. A walk around the park later I noticed they picked all three trees clean. I must of had them worried.

Did I mention I can open the door of the Discovery and reach Red Delicous Apples just hanging from the limbs! I like apples too!

The spoon found its way home - first Mutants to roll this morning - Deb and Dale claimed it.

Steve and Mary Ann are about to roll... that leaves us and Jeff and Marcia... We'll be off soon. Moving to hotter temps in Provo. Hopefully our proximity to Utah Lake will keep us cool.

Steve and all you mutants travel safe. Is Annie feeling better?

By the way, the cabbage and taters that we added some brats to was great last night, thanks!

Annie is much better thanks. Once the anticiotics kicked in and the swelling went down she was able to stop the pain pill and her stomach settled right down. Will still see a dentist in case it's a tooth rather than my suspicion of a sinus issue brought on by altitude and alergies.

Dinner sounds delicious!
