We have clear skies! The smoke is gone. My DS flew into Lewiston today for a visit and there were 5 bus loads of firefighters heading home!

Evenin Muteys!

We have landed in a spot right behind His Roundness and Earlene. Had a great dinner with them and enjoyed great conversation this evening. Plans tomorrow include a cruise around the islands and with a little luck maybe some whale watching. Will report back with pics tomorrow!

No finer stage in the whole world than ones own mental conjuring.

Then when TV did start to replace the voices in a box up on the mantle, we got eye strain from squinting at a tiny round black and white screen in a monster sized wood box. Family squabbles erupted with comments like ... "Get your head out of the way, I can't see". Worse yet, our grand mental images were now sort of pushed aside and replaced with sometimes disappointing action on the little screen.

The Wild West of my mind was now replaced with a lot of sage brush, rocks and fancy hat cowboys endlessly chasing each other round and round. WW2 movies were in black and white, because ... we all know the war WAS fought in black and white!

In retrospect, I actually believe the technology of television has robbed me of wonderful mental imagery. The good old days really were good.
Oh my, another old man! I remember that period also.

Dennis, I have been on the phone with you several times where you were called away by Denise to "do chores," so just because we were at the laundramat and it was time to fold clothes - you don't need to tattle! I'll have to start listing you Honey Doos!

It is very nice having Putute nearby again. I tried getting him a site further away but he kept insisting at check-in that he wanted to be near us. I have some pictures to post but he would be embarrassed being shown with women's items - so out of admiration for the #$(&!^ I'll not post them.

UNLESS specifically requested.

Hey, if I can dress up like a unicorn I'm sure he could be seen with a woman.....well he could, right?
