Progress was made on defending our home from all sorts of light hating vermin today. Rather than the traditional rope lights, I bought a 20 meter (66 feet) long string of fairy lights. They are cheap and a bit delicate so I decided it would be wise to mount them under the coach rather than lay them on the ground. There are too many bigger critters that think ropes should be for playing tug-of-war here. These lights have 8 different modes from flashing to steady to chasing. I set them on rapid flashing mode and the RV looks like something getting ready to blast off. I sure hope it works!

Sena found a way to get up on my host's roof today. Now she can bark at the dogs and then run to the front of the house where they can't see her. One plus has been that she has kept the pigeons from returning. Lily has been driving me nuts barking at those stupid birds. Today while I was crawling under the RV installing lights I watched her stalking some sparrows. She stands very still next to one of the tires intently watching the birds and then dashes out trying to catch one. For some reason she doesn't bark at sparrows. I guess having Sena keep the pigeons away is worth the worry that she will try to find a way down into the front yard. I know she won't run away, but I hope she doesn't find her way into a neighbor's car. She steals.

Now Tim, are you looking up the answers? You are 50/50 so one more for the prize.

What did the elephants say when they saw Tarzan coming?

No cheating. These are not from E-101, I knew them 45 or so years ago. Nothing new, just old jokes.
Here come the elephants??

And all I can think about now is the Carol Burnett Show's failed scene with the siamese elephants' story where the trunks are hooked together and they sneeze funny... "Narf-el!"

Weatherman says it's going to stop raining today, just to be sure I think I'll send out a raven!

Well I don't have a raven, so Mary traveled forth. If she returns with a WalMart sack I know all is well with the weather!

Hey Tim, saw this video today, and wondered how your Bat adventure turned out? Did you get them screened out successfully?

Oh come on now! The elephants raised their trunks and trumpeted (in elephant language) "Here comes Tarzan!"

Good thing he wasn't wearing sun glasses.

Hey Y'all,

I have another technical question for you. The water pressure here is really strong. I've already lost one of my older hoses to splitting. Is there any reason that I shouldn't move my low-tech pressure regulator to a position before the hoses (at the faucet) rather than next to Moho inlet?

I only turn on the faucet a quarter turn, but the faucet is next to the 2 year old grandson's yard toy bin. He is fascinated by the hookups that cross the back yard.

I would, but maybe say something to the parents to instruct him to leave the hookups alone... wouldn't want him to get electrocuted...
