So here's a ponder before turning in. My friend Marty (the one we visited in Phoenix - not my sidekick in the battle against evil) told me that the new, new "thing" is that people are now buying experiences rather than things.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but it does seem that RVing has always been about the experiences. I'm pondering whether the new thing is old, or if the two pursuits are actually one. I am sure that the journey is the destination, and a big part of that are the experiences.

Gotta run...

Crumbs! I only missed 5 day's worth, but that included Possum/Cletus's and Aiden's birthdays and who the heck knows what else! Happy BD to Possum (who knows exactly which one it was) and Aiden (who has already forgotten).

Thanks for all the BD wishes on my day. I was not lost in my skeins as someone here has reportedly accused! Pampered though. Lunch at that schmitzie Italian restaurant in town:

You know the one, the one you only go to for special occasions, the one that does foods beyond pizza and pasta, the one with great wines and lotsa lotsa garlic in the air. That one. Lovely.

Back to ketchup. Still not on the road. Still not finalized. Pics when it happens!

Very good grasshopper.

BTW you know I'm an Italian, Italians can carry grudges forever, and we have a Karma payback all planned for you. Bwahahahahaha
.

Dennis, I look forward to a creative payback, with flair de Italiano ... But, please, nothing borrowed from The Godfather. I can take my punishment just as long as no dead animals are involved.

My mom's doctor told us there is a mass in the upper lobe of her right lung that is not pneumonia. Around 6:00 am, he is going to send a camera down through her nose and into the lung to take a look at it. He will scrape some of the tissue and cuture it. There is a chance her weakened lung could collapse. She is putting on a brave front, and has told us she is at peace with whatever the outcome is.

Thanks for the ommmmms for my mom, Di's mom, Dwayne's dad, and all others who are facing medical crises.

Happy, happy birthdays to Sue and to Dennis! (And to any others who are celebrating another year of life.) Every day is a gift!

While his mommy gave his great grandmother (my mom) a manicure and pedicure in the hospital room, my sis (his grandmother) and I took my little 4 year-old great nephew Brody to the mall to see Santa. When he rounded the corner to the Santa & Elves area, he threw his arms wide and ran straight to Santa, jumped on his lap, wrapped his arms around Santa's neck, laid his head on Santa's broad shoulder, and ever so sincerely, said, "I been missing you!" The elves cried, we cried and so did everyone around who witnessed his unabashed excitement and love. It was so pure and innocent. I'll never forget it!

Merry Christmas, Mutants every where!

What a precious memory to cherish. Don't you wish you could have recorded it?

Belated Happy Birthday Sue and may you have many more. Birthdays last a week, right? Martin is supposed to pamper you for that period of time --- Oh wait, he pampers you all the time.

Yep. You did.
That was the first phrase I wrote while living in Lake Wobegon. Others have used it.
