For those newbies attending the Tucson GC -- it is customary for the ladies to wear kimonos for the opening night ceremony. For more info send me an email or PM.

Barb... it's also customary that opening night be on night 2... lol. Night 1 is wine and cheese etc. - meet and greet.

That's true, meet and greet and size up the mutants and make up you mind if you'll stay or sneak out in the dark!

I hear all the rain in the desert makes for a beautiful spring flowering of the desert....
and it is a gracious gift that California is getting some wetting too... now there just might be vegetables and fruits that come from the US available...
( yes, I hear the sighs of those tired of the rain but trying hard not to grumble about it)

That hits a note. I'm not a doctor but the first thing I'll ask is "are you on any statin drugs"? Here's my story: A little over a year ago I started having all kinds of trouble with my shoulder and arm (dominate side of course). MRI showed bursitis, tendinopathy, and arthritis. Until the MRI, the doc thought it was a rotor cuff problem. So I got a shot which help somewhat for awhile but then over that last year it started getting worse again. My arm muscles were also really sore. After a try at PT, which didn't help and left the physical therapist shaking his head and saying I don't know what to tell you. Went back to the doc and he decided to have me go off my pravastatin for 2 weeks. Within just a few days, I was able to raise my arm above my head without any pain. Wow. BTW, I have not gone back to taken them. My doc didn't tell me what to do after the 2 weeks. lol. When I share this with my eye doc, he told me that I should never take any statin drugs. The pravastatin is one of the mildest forms of it from what I've been told. Don't want to know what would have happened if I'd taken a stronger drug.
Just wanted to report a possibility if you are on a statin drug to share with your doc.

We are already off them. Fish oil caps X 3/day instead, recommended by our endocrinologist. Our primary care physician had said to take niacin, but the other doc said not to.
It's all a crap shoot, apparently.
