Found some wifi. We will hopefully get darn close to Blythe CA tomorrow and then on to Yuma. Last evening and earlier today we have seen a three fold increase in the numbers of RVs on the road. Had a hard time finding room to park for the night so we diverted to Walmart, bought vitals and are now looking for a camping spot..

BTW I forgot to mention we are now in Delano, California.
Sitting up on a hill in a parking lot listening to the trains roll through.

One of the system admins stated they're under a denial of service and that pretty much renders a site unusable due to the load it has to endure. It seems to be a lot better now but whether the attack is over or not is unknown.

Ha Di, we got a few snow flurries today! Melted as soon as it hit the windshield. Was driving down a dirt road following two other trucks and the dust was making the wet snow turn to mud! Thought I'd pass that along in case your getting homesick!

We were there because of the name. It was my stepdaughter's nickname as a growing child.
We've also searched out places like Uncertain (TX) and Why (NM). Dime Box, TX, was mentioned in the book Blue Highways, and that got me started. Doesn't matter what the place is like, just that we've seen it.
Ain't life on the outer rainbow grand? It's what you make of it. 😎😎😎

Sue, when you were in NM, it sounds like you weren't too far from Ruidoso, where we own a home. Cloudcroft is maybe an hour from Ruidoso. It's been so long since I drove that route, I can't remember exactly how far it is. But, not very. You were also near Sunspot, the National Solar Observatory. They have tours for visitors. A very interesting place to see.
We we're married in Las Cruces, so New Mexico is a special place to us.
My maternal grandfather was born in 1896. At age 17, he and a friend left north Texas to homestead near Tucumcari. So, our connections to the Land of Enchantment go way back.

Love the pics, y'all! Sounds like you had a grand time. 😄

The ticker is doing fine, surgeon doesn't think the gall stones are the problem.
I have to get a whole bunch more tests done, meanwhile I am feeling fine.
I had to move the coach to my new location so I took it for a burn. It was fun for a few minutes.
