Really enjoying meeting all the RVMs for the first time. Seems that Mutants really
do enjoy meeting the new ones. Paula and I fit in well, which makes sense since we
are Mutants.
Mel and Kate, prayers for Brian for recovery.

Yes, Barb, actually I do feel the power of those many Mutant Ohmmmmmms. It's overwhelming. We are so very grateful. Brian and Shelley have delightful spirits, as you say. Shelley would be the slightly more stubborn of the two, but that is bcos Brian is so laid back and easy going.

Thank you to EVERYONE for your thoughts, prayers and healing ohmmmmmms for Brian. We are truly humbled by your outpouring of Mutant love.

Kate just called to tell me that Brian had a really hard night. Lots of pain and for some reason, they had a hard time getting a handle on it. She had to hang up quickly because the doctor came in. So I'm sure she'll call back in a few minutes to tell me what the doc said. I'll post that update when I get it.

Of course, Kate is not coming home today, as she had thought. She will stay as long as she needs to stay. She's a short termer at work, so ... well, work is just not important right now. I wish I could be there to help relieve her and stay with Brian some. Shelley simply cannot give him the kind of help he needs at night, so an able-bodied person has to be with him. Kate and Brian's step mom Karen are alternating.

Know you all are having a grand time in Tucson! It's great seeing pics! Thanks for posting those. They remind us of what we have to look forward to! We are so very fortunate and blessed to be part of such a wonderful group of Mutants.

Party on, Mutants!!! Keep the pics coming.

Hugs,

Mel

Update on Brian:

Forgot to tell you that during surgery, the kidney docs doing the removal had to call in a vascular surgeon to get the bleeding stopped. Evidently, there were quite a few veins and arteries that ruptured or split.

During the night, his blood pressure and heart rate were erratic, but he seems to be responding positively to the fluids they're giving him and blood pressure is now stabilizing. The nurse said , that means he is likely no longer bleeding internally. I misunderstood about pain ... Kate said what they could not get a handle on was his erratic blood pressure and heart rate. He doesn't seem to feel much pain yet, she said. Still under the effects of the anesthesia, probably.

One of the cool things about ohmms and prayers are that their director
(whomever or whatever you believe that to be) knows where they actually need to be directed at and they go that route whether we are misguided or confused in our intent, they seem to know exactly what's needed and do what is needed sometimes rather than what we have thought we wanted or desired. Example... look at how much of the southwest's drought has been eliminated since Steve has been there! And before that... Tx had drought, but he was sad at the wet winter he had last year... but TX was not complaining about drought! Dance in your rain folks and mutate on!

Now Chuck, Marty, ease up on Stevo! It might not be WHO is attracting the moist weather, BUT, whom is not there that normally brings the sunshine! Yeah that's the ticket!

I'm not there, Chucks not there, Marty's not there.....

My heart goes out to Brian and all his family as y'all struggle through this. Ommms upon ommms!

Again, we wish you & Kate could have been here, but life does throw us these curves we have to deal with, like it or not.

Cheers & {{{hugs}}}
