Been there, don't want to deal with that again.... We have had one fall our roof and had to have a crane come out to get it off.... We had one totally crush our deck outside the back... We were lucky it was not worse... After that, we had all big trees that are close enough to cause damage to the structure removed...

I belong to a couple of Rail-Fan sites and the word is that all along the west coast any train close to the ocean is being stopped. Too windy for the double stack trains out on the main lines.

Yup, Glen Rose got heavy rain, and about quarter size hail... We seem to be fine now & the sun came out briefly.. Hope nothing worse on its way this evening...

Carl, boogers on the nasty tree thing. No other damage but did you go thru computer withdrawal syndrome?
Now, on to firewood!

Tim, that's a fine looking stand. My daddy used to go duck hunting with my uncle. They never brought a duck home. I think it had something to do with all the Wild Turkey they found.

The beauty of the internets is that there are many ways to get on. So I still have hotspot and mifi's available so no, no withdrawal

Like any good redneck me, two of my sons and daughter in laws as well as two grands all stood in the garage with the door up so we could watch the hail! Pea size by the time it reached us. Weatherman said grapefruit size when over the area where you exit headed to CL.

We never had any hunting stands, Elizabeth, cept where you might stand or sit on a stump. But we did get our fill of game. The trouble was after the hunt was done for the day, some fool would lose the cork off the blackberry brandy and/or the schnapps. Couldn't let it spoil, ya know? Hi Mary!
Hey Tim, jever think that being so high up that the thin air makes you sleepy? And maybe we had better luck by being low so we could look em in the eyes and stare them down. Hi Mary!
