Had a great dinner at Storytellers in the Cliff Castle Casino. No luck at the machines but no heavy lifting, light weight...

The room is built like a cave!
Mine was on the hoof. Yums.

[QUOTE=Wayne M;3021458]Where do you buy the rollin' paper?

I'm sure it's not the rolling paper Wayne is referring to, but I heard one of those consumer types on TV yesterday saying the best prices on TP can be found online. Since I don't buy TP by the truckload I thought that was an odd comment.

But we do use LOTS of paper towels which is why I buy them at Costco. I didn't find them even close in price online.

1. First contact is in Oregon. If you want to be the first person to experience totality in the continental U.S., be on the waterfront at Government Point, Oregon, at 10:15:56.5 a.m. PDT. There, the total phase lasts 1 minute, 58.5 seconds.
Tim, I got my info by clicking on the Oregon coast on the NASA website.

Well, Annie seems to be rebounding and has decided we will be right here in Camp Verde two weeks instead of one. So Distant Drums it is.

Funny that she wants to stay here because we're in a pull in site with a ravine in front of us. I assured her that gravity is in our favor and that our current momentum is zero. Stopped short of offering to let her try to push Bonita Bounder over the edge with me in the drivers seat.

So that's the news from Camp Verde.

What's going on mutants? Tell all like Sue did! Nice pics Sue!

Did it say what time zone? Those space cadets sometimes use GMT.

The eclipse begins about 4pm and lasts about 2.5 hours, but the total eclipse is at 5:16 and lasts 2 minutes.

There is a lot to and do out there.

Barb after a little research I see the discrepancy. Your site reports the time in "Universal Time" indicated by (UT). The actual local time will be the 10 something am time I posted. Had never heard of UT till now but I read it on the internet so it's got to be true! So do you really think we landed on the moon?

UT (or UTC, older ref) is what all time zones are based off of. It's the same as GMT.

Ok, Tim is right. It's 10:04 am in Oregon.

I found Government Point which appears to be out in the Pacific Ocean. Right behind it is a nice wayside park just off US 101 south of Lincoln City, OR.

Barb just for you but everyone else can read it too.
You mentiuoned Sena not being able to get a passport and this little story immediately came to mind,

" An old over opinionated codger was railing at his buddy about how much he hated Italians. Everyday for months her railed about this hatred. The pone day he and his buddy were walking downtown along Main Street and they come upon an old Italian Organ Grinder and his monkey playing music and dancing on the sidewalk. The Organ grinder and his monkey were wearing identical blue and white sailor suits. The old codger watches for a while and then walks up and throws a twenty in the donation cup and walks away smiling.
His buddy watches his antics and hurries over to confront the guy. He says, "whatcha doin? You say you hate Italians but you just gave that organ grinder a twenty so what's up with that???"
The Old coder looks at his buddy and says "Yes I do hate Italians; but I find their kids really cute!"

Moral of the story is; change Sena's name to Maria and pretend she's an adopted Italian kid and get her a passport.

BTW the Seagull has landed and is in our driveway. Now the unloading begins.
