I've heard that noise, walking around your coach, around your table at the pavilion, next to you in line at the buffet! Yep those air leaks can be heard!

Marty that by far one of the best things I've read on this thread. Congrats!

We gotta meet face to face. I was thinking exactly the same thing; too uncanny.

Aw Tim, that's just him hissing -- the sound he makes right before Earlene jabs him in da ribs.

How wonderful that after all these years he can still surprise you -- in a good way.

Mel, which would be worse -- to be scared by the brakes on Murphy or to be scared by the brakes on the new coach? I'm thinking this is a lesson better learned on Murphy. Sure glad it was nothing. Just 4 more days to think of a name for the new coach, or have you already chosen one and are just waiting to announce it?

BTW, what do your gauges say on the dash? One of the periodic tests diesel owners with air brakes should do is to shut down the motor, turn the key back on, and gently pump the brakes several times. When the air drops between 60-65 the low air alarm should come on, and at some point as stated the parking brake button will pop out.

Start the engine and watch the gauges. They should slowly start to rise. If they don't then there is most likely an air leak (kind of big) or the air pump is not working. A big air leak could be heard standing outside walking around the coach.
Well, then we have a big air leak. When I stop, cut the engine and step out of the coach, I can hear air hissing really loudly. But when I start up the engine, the gauges show the air coming back up, but very slowly.

Now for a different topic ...

We are camped at a beautiful campground in Prescott National Forest. After spending the day in town, we got back to our site to find a group of about 12 or 14 Jr. hi age girls and several adults piling out of two passenger vans (one was pulling a big trailer with gear). They set up 4 or 5 tents on a SINGLE campsite where you can have a maximum of 8 (that may be high) people and two tents. They are yelling and making terrible racket and I am going to see the campground host tomorrow about it. He actually drove by in his golf cart while they were setting up and didn't stop to say anything to them. Go figure. Sigh.

Marty, this brought a tear to my eye. I'm not kidding! Clearly, your fella has a big heart and loves you beyond words.

Looking forward to meeting you both one of these days.
