For mutants pondering a GC or a MC - - - organizing one of those shebangs is easier than it looks. Don't be fearful of organizing one yourself.
Steps:
1) Possess a burning desire to see fellow mutants again
2) Contact a RV park in your area that has 1) electricity 2) sewer 3) water 4) a willingness to accomodate our group 5) has an area large enough for communal meals and campfires (not totally necessary to have a hall)
3) Send out a invitation to all potentially interested mutants on this thread with location, dates, and cost
4) reserve X number of sites based on initial declarations of interest
5) fine tune as needed and don't over-organize (just get there and let it happen)
6) act as the "go between" tween mutants and campground
|
I'll give you and Mary Ann a standing ovation for the job you did on Tucson for everything except the weather. But this group has a way of finding less than the best weather so I won't blame that on you. I've heard southern AZ only has 2 weeks of winter and one of them happened to find us in Tucson. and Rockport and Hot Springs I'm just hoping no Typhoons in Aug 2017

Dwayne - you're missing your calling - you should be the official, certified, full time Mutant Mechanic. You could be earning a living off us if you'd just show up when problems occur!

There is no way I could be everywhere y'all need me. Besides y'all like dealers to much I'd go broke.

Some folks pulled in next to us this afternoon in a Travel Supreme ME. They didn't unhook the car so I won't get a chance to see what he thinks of the mid engine. Has a paper tag on it and the tow bar looks brand new. Could be a new purchase...

Before the first GC I started an email group called Kimono Gals where we talked about the surprise we hoped to pull on the guys -- we all wore kimonos to Dave's Opening of the Kimono ceremony.
The list is still there, just dormant. I'm wondering if we should turn it into a female only discussion group for lady RVMs whether primary or a spouse. What do you ladies think? Guys, please ask your wives.

There is no question that you can spend mega $$$ here, but oh the fun you can have.
It's the big kid Ron's first time, he is having a blast.
Mickey ears will be had, Sue got a pair that light up for the fireworks shoe last night.
Hmm do I wake everyone up so we can be the first ones into the park, or let them sleep??

Well no Mickey Ears but the balloons coming out of Jackies head is a great substitute!

Get there early, before the lines get really long! Go straight to the most popular rides first. We rode Space Mtn. over and over till the lines got long! I think we rode it so much we qualified as astronauts!

Nope that was a brain fart
Another tip.... When in a park like Epcot, go all the way to the back right away, then work your way forward... Mutant way
The majority does it front the back....
Diane toftSFM#64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!

No way! I don't want Earlene talking about me THAT much. Unless, as Tim suggested, I can join with the other side of me.
