It's a nice, 40' tag axle in very good to excellent condition. It needs a little updating - replace carpeting with new flooring and new TV. We're not terribly fond of the oak cabinetry, but we could stain it a different color. All of the mechanicals are in good order, the tires are 3 years old, the maintenance records are in order, and it has 56K miles on it. It has a new fridge and all the appliances have been upgraded. Our mechanic is going to go look at it on Monday to see if he can find anything that needs attention. It has all the goodies - slides, electric shades, AquaHot, slides in the bays, etc. It's a 2004. Instead of carrying a mortgage, we could pay cash for this rig.

We in a quandary...oh, the humanity!

Monaco Dynasty's are nice coaches. We owned 2 of them. The AquaHot system can be finicky, but when it's working right, it works great! Nice find if it works out!

We're seriously considering it and if the weather holds off we are taking it for a drive today at 3:00. If our mechanic/RV tech says it's good after his inspection, we are going to make an offer. He will get up on the roof (sorry, Earlene, not getting up there) and crawl into every nook and cranny. The only things I found on my inspection hunt were dings and scratches, the 3M film looks cruddy and the carpets need cleaning, which isn't a big deal, since we want to replace the flooring anyway (I hate carpeting). The generator works perfectly and he has maintenance records for it, too. Honestly, it looks great for its age, and everything works as it should.

Mary went and looked at it several months ago and liked it. I wasn't interested because I didn't like the exterior color and we weren't shopping for a DP at the time. Who the heck thought blue was a good color for an RV? If I had my druthers, it wouldn't be blue, but Big Blue Bus has a nice alliterative ring to it.

The price now is below NADA low retail. He lowered the price by $14K since he put it in RV Trader a few months ago. We are confident that the price is good now. Actually, I think he's not going to come down much more. However, he's been very forthright with us, so we will ask him to give us his rock bottom price and we will pay it.

Some things are serious factors, including the property tax (no difference over what we pay now), and the insurance (got a quote this morning - and it's not a big difference).

I'm excited but still cautious - laying out this much cash is a little scary!

Don't over do it dog. Stay in out of the rain. It gets you wet.
Nice rig Les.

Is it just Spring Fever or has RVMdom been overtaken by upgrade fever? I think about trading coaches occasionally, and then the reality of all the work that it would require in order to Sena proof it sinks in. Our couch suits us just fine.

Elizabeth and Mary, good luck today! I hope that this is your dream coach..

Barb,
When that feeling of dread over the reality is no longer enough to stop the thinking, and Sena has mastered everything you have thought up, it might be a time then to consider it seriously....

Going to soak the dried out desert reptile skin for a few days soon. Oldest Grandson is joining us and we'll continue to teach him all that we can.
