Looks like I will be joining Di, Larry, Wayne and Earleen the weekend before the Fredericksburg TX GC. Hunter will drive me up and then has to head back to the W&$@. Then will return for the final weekend.

Heading to Seattle 10 June and returning with 3 of our grandkids on the bus (that's what they call the RV).

Pending an inspection, we've bought a Monaco Dynasty.

It was my first time driving a DP. Fairly gusty, no problem. It was much easier than I thought. The current owner helped me learn. It drives like a dream.

He's throwing in a ton of stuff - extension cords, backup parts, a bunch of tools, extension ladder, extra serpentine belt, extra alternator (he had it replaced once but bought two), Euro recliners...

Yikes!

Big Blue Bus!

Fingers are crossed that the inspection yields great results! What model is that? The Monaco brochure site skips from 2003 to 2005. From the pictures it looks like a copy of the 2003 Regent. Sometimes a manufacturer will release a late year update but not update publications.

BTW...is that a residential refrigerator? If so and IMHO...

I don't want to scare you but one thing to pay very close attention to are the exterior of the sidewalls. The sides of your coach are Laminated Gel Coat Fiberglass Side Walls and in some cases delamination can occur. Look for any unusual bubbles/waves in the side panels on the outside of the coach. While you might have a very good mechanic looking at the coach, if they are not versed in this subject they might not see it if it isn't obvious. Once it sets in, it is kinda like a cancer and generally spreads over time. Walk around the coach and push in on the sidewalls to find any "soft spots". There will be some minor flex between wall studs but what you are looking for is something that seems too easy, wavy or flexible. Repairs are not easy and often not successful for the long term. The good news is that while any laminated wall can suffer this fate, Monaco's are not particularly noted for this problem but not immune either.

This is gonna be an exciting time for both of you! Just don't let the excitement knock you off kilter. Trust me...been there, done that! LOL

It is only money and you can't take it with you when you ascend upward.

Good job! I like surprising people. My GD turns 16 on the 28th. She does not know we will be at her surprise party.

Well, on 10 June we will be at Camp Pendleton and depart the 20th for points North. There are some nice military bases to stay at along the coast.

Wonderful! A nice looking ride. Ask your mechanic to look at the front end and see if there is a steering stabilizer on it. If it gets a little wishy-washy-wandering I can highly recommend Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer. I had it installed just before this trip and we ran into gusts 30+ mph and it doesn't wander.

=============================

On the other side of this MH is Earlene. You remember the Zip Line right, when many of you dared the 7 zip lines in AR? Well next time you are in New Mexico climb the mountain where the Petroglyph's are. Every time she moves now she says "Ow!" Just a little sore. I started up, used my brace and cane, got up about 50 feet, saw the rest of the climb and told her I'd wait for her down at the bottom. Go girl. (Second childhood.)
