I hear ya. I didn't want to stay... but circumstances required it. It is nice being full time and being able to make the choice, but all choices are not equal. I might well have done this elsewhere if Annies mom and dad weren't here. They are getting to see how we live. Saw us get medical care, we've had Dakota Post deliver our mail to their house, and Amazon delivery too. I showed her dad our insurance policies on the Allied App and how we make our annual payment and renewal in October. Showed him how I can text a payment to Dish for the satellite. He enjoyed seeing that. It's really been good in that respect. They apparently had their concerns lol. So yeah - it's miserable enough by heat - and the surgery was literally a kick in the head. But it's also showed them that one of the beauties of our mobility is that we can be here for them if they need us.
So are the birds still raising cane.

My great idea was to get you to send me twenty bucks, I need to buy a pizza and I'm broke.

I want to get the brake actuator like the one you have in your trailer hitch on your motorhome. Do you have any ideas what the trade name is?
I believe yours is the same as Mel and Kate's unit and Jeff and Marcias unit. I was just given the cables and hook ups for that system and I'd like to get the actuator.

I guess just asking for ideas how to defeat them was enough to make the crows quiet down in the mornings. Or perhaps we are just sleeping sounder. I did decide on the first thing I was going to try to chase them away -- a motion activated water sprinkler. Luckily I didn't need to invest in one -- yet. I hope this didn't jinx it.

I assume you are referring to the surge brake that is built into my ReadyBrute towbar. NSA RV Products - Ready Brake and Ready Brute Home

Yep what Barb said Dennis, I love mine !!! Sorry for not posting a lot lately we have been having a very busy time with family, oh and I had to replace the transfer switch, thankfully those are pretty easy to change out yourself.
Today we are heading to Mackinaw City to put my sisters significant others 23' Sea Ray in the lake and taking a cruise to Beaver Island for dinner, it should be a great trip,
I hope the rest of you are having a fantastic summer as well.
Cheers !!!

Words for the day, Jeff. Lots of sun screen.
Sounds like fun, but isn't Beaver Island a good distance from Mackinaw City? We have neighbors that have a summer home on the island. It's a family tradition and family members have passed the homes down through the family for a few generations.
Hi Marcia.
Say . . . . . . Bar Harbor really isn't that far when you cut through Canada. (store your sidearm in U.S.).
BTW, we are picking up our last 4 of the 49 reachable states on our way to Maine. We have charted a route that requires some courage. We are driving across Staten Island, through Brooklyn and the Queens to reach Connecticut. If I can survive US 60 and I 10 in Phoenix, that drive will be a breeze.

Yeah Beaver Island is like 40 nautical miles its very doable, we've never been to the island yet and plan on having dinner there, we probably wouldn't go if it weren't for the fact, that it's BEAVER Island .... lol ....

Sounds like a little nepotism is brewing Jeff. BTW where are you stopping to eat on the Island. I once had a brew or two at a cloverleaf or shamrock or ??? bar and grill and it was interesting.

You must not like your RV, cuz after what you put it through driving that direction, you'll know what I mean. I will never drive my RV on I-95 so hopefully you'll avoid that! Good luck in any case, cuz if you haven't experienced what those roads are like, you're in for a rude surprise.

Carl, we've driven through LA, Phoenix, Chicago, Tampa, Dallas, etc. etc. If no one targets us, we have a high percentage chance for an uneventful voyage thru greater NYC area. Rules of the road like 1) stay out of the merge lanes, 2) leave yourself an out and a space cushion, 3) slow down a little when your space cushion is filled by "hurrying Harrys" to recreate that space cushion, 4) know where you're going and 5) avoid rush hour. We'll be fine.
As far as I 95 is concerned, mapquest doesn't show too many routes from point A to point B on the east coast. If you're on a tight schedule to complete your journey the "side roads" are not a very good option. Ground level roads add an extra 30 minutes to every hour of traffic on the east coast. Being unfamiliar with the "spiderweb" of interstates near NYC and Boston, I've tried to limit congestion wherever possible. However, one that looks good on paper may be the one that locals know to avoid. Constant buildings and masses of humanity makes it impossible to chart a "easy route".
Going home our roads will take us through a lot of trees and cow pastures in upstate NY.
