Here's how laid back our week has been:
1) 3 meals a day (because they're accustomed to 3 meals a day) Cooking meals for seven is a real B . . . . after cooking for 2. BTW, $470 grocery bill in preparation for the arrival of the human bottomless pits. LOL
2) 3 trips taking 16 yo GD to work at Chick-fi-a
3) 3 trips to take 3 of the GS to cross country practice
4) 2 trips for baseball tryouts
5) 1 trip to open house at home school magnet school
6) 1 trip for play audition
7) 1 trip for swim/birthday party
8) 1 trip to GK's church
9) 8 trips to their house to care for 2 dogs (25 minutes one way)
10) 8+ trips to the neighborhood swimming pool

So time on this site has been limited.

We leave for lobstah land on the 9th of August.
Lobstah land will be a relief after a week like that!! Fun and work and smiling faces of grands... hard to beat but lobstah is calling!

I moved to this dreadful place 4 years ago to work. I work about 1 mile West of the Memphis Airport. But, I'm trying to find that 'perfect career position' in western Montana, WY, or CO. As soon as I do, I'm outta here.

Where? I know Arkansas.... We live in Little Rock, i was born in Helena, taught school in Dumas, ex was from Searcy, son lives in Batesville, one dil from Conway, other dil from Greers Ferry, but that son moved to Florida, i retired as State Ad Ed Tech Coor, but my dear hubby is from Baltimore.......

Hmm, what does it not have that I don't need?.... No radio, no TV, I didn't even know they made RV dishwashers. At the moment, it doesn't have any water, potable or sewage. It has AC but no heat. It has a Refrig. but it quit working last year and I haven't decided if I want to fix it or replace with more counter space.....I just use a cooler with ice since I don't want to run a generator all the time.

And I hereby declare that the Journey is the Destination....

That good enuff fer you folks?

I just don't see why either of you are hesitant to explore the benefits of the full site

Carl...... After teaching 8th graders and being in small town.... I am just not interested in that kinda stuff.... I dont need it... So I choose to avoid it now...... Glad ya got yer rig back....

Sorry not to be here as you fly by, but we leave in the morning. Tonight we are ready (almost) & sleeping in the rig so as to leave as early as possible.

Each of the 2 cats has escaped once already, making us a bit concerned about the trip w/them. Betsy is easy to retrieve. All she wants is to graze a bit. Munch, munch.

Tikka, the newby, not so much. The AC noise scared her as I carried her toward the rig, so she disappeared into the shrubs immediately. Fortunately, she came back for comfort w/in 2 or 3 minutes. Whew. Her safety collar had let go when she jumped, and she isnt chipped yet.

Sleep well, mutants ... like the lion.

Hey SixShooter: welcome! I anxiously await your required declarations and the bestowal of the coveted number and the passing of mop & broom.

Night all!

Where are you headed after Maine? Enjoy....

I think I follow this site too much because it "almost" seems like a lot of threads go down that road. It cracks me up sometimes because someone will ask a very specific question that really only has one answer and yet immediately two people will post, each contradicting each other to the persons query (e.g., yes, it'll work, no it'll never work).

I know all those places!

I'm from Ida (NOT mt. Ida) my mother is from Mt. View and her whole family still lives in Stone county. We have land in Stone and Cleburne county. And my family owns a convenience store in Ida (Fletcher's Grocery) we also sell Non-ethanol gas if y'all need some of the 'good stuff'.

I graduated from Arkansas Tech in Russellville in 2012, then moved here to Marion to work. I'm a mechanical engineer for a conveyor company. We design, fab., install, and service conveyors for automotive companies.

That's about it....I hunt and fish and work. We used to own cattle until a land dispute forced us to sell to pay lawyers. Hope to have some more someday. I like Herefords, but our last bunch was Longhorns and while ornery, they make up for it with coolness.

That's about it for me, anything else, just ask.

I am but these things happen since the Temps no longer report to duty.

Many apologies to both..

As I sit corrected - SixShooter14 - you are still the keeper of the broom, mop and dust pan, being passed to you by Snakebitten (RVM142) and you my friend are RVM143!!

Thanks Di. Those may be among the kindest words you ever said to me.

So here's a bit of an update...
I was able to move my followup appointment with the surgeon to next Wed (from the 29th to the 10th). Hopefully we will be out of here shortly there after. I have to try to see the Internist here before leaving and working on that one.

Yesterday I was sheared like a sheep. I had been trying to do the locks of love like Tim and Carl did. When we measured the ponytail it was 8 inches but need to be trimmed up about 2 inches which meant another 4 inches to grow. I couldn't do it. Lol. I am weak like Sampson but regaining my strength. I bow to those who made their way to the end and received their certificate. Having lost my dear aunt Bonita to C I was really trying to do it. Just couldn't hang in there.

Time to get in the planning mode and find our way back on the rainbow!
