2017 RVMoon GC

While I don't want to take any attention away from the insanity happening in the Northeast, I do fell obligated to send a shout out regarding the RVMoon GC happening next August. We have a commitment from the River Mountain RV park to hold off taking any non Mutant reservations until after 8/15/2016. So there are only 3 more days to reserve a space.

Here are the details --

Location -- River Mountain RV Park | Idanha, detroit lake, sisters, river mt rv

Dates -- 8/17/2017 - 8/23/2017 but many RVMs are staying longer

Primary Event -- Full solar eclipse on 8/21

Other happenings -- fishing in river that borders the park, fishing and boating in nearby Detroit Lake, wild blackberry picking, campfires, and endless RVM shenanigans.

Last I heard all of the FHU spaces were booked but there are several dry camping spaces available. Dry campers wishing to move to FHU sites get first preference. I have already been bumped to dry camping for 3 days and I have heard from another RVM who will also give up their FHU site. I'm also going to visit the park in October on my way south and encourage Laurie and Jim to add electric and water to some of the dry camping sites.

So if you are thinking about joining us please call and make a reservation ASAP. They only require a 1 day deposit -- $20-30 which is not refundable, but is transferable. August is high season for RVing in Oregon so it is almost certain you will get your deposit back should you need to cancel.

Also, if you are thinking about staying longer to enjoy the wonderful weather and more Mutant lunacy I suggest you call ASAP.

More on the Light when ya can.
Thanks for the kind words Steve, hope the warranty work is not as bad as you say.

I've been going to this doc for about 3 years. She freezes a lot of places every time I go, usually every 6 months. This is the first time I left a pound of flesh.

Ocracoke Light is a beer made by/for Howard's Pub on Ocracoke Island. The pub is a gathering hole for the locals as well as a tourist spot. I like it and if you time it right, not over run.

'Mornin', mutey mateys, wherever ye be! Where we are the air smells of pine and sometimes of woodsmoke. 😊 Personally, I'm a happy camper.

We had been warned about NY roads, eh? New England roads, as well? Let me tell you: they didn't lie! Our tooth fillings seem to be intact so far, & only one item fell out of the fridge after we stopped, but ... 😐 ... when I went to bed, I found my CPAP had been jostled off the nightstand onto the bed. Upside down, of course. Recently filled, of course. Now empty, naturally. 😕

It's a long time since I slept in a wet bed. Arrrrrhhh!

It's just not right, ME being the responsible one

STMs, thankfully, are wise enough to rearrange the names to protect the innocent.

Nice pics, sentiments and intentions. Share the rainbow! Ride the rainbow. Be the rainbow!

Even easier here with only one channel available, the "normal" iffy wifi not withstanding.
Being mostly OTG makes for flurries of RVM ponderances and shenanigans! And pics. And Sentiments. And intentions of many colors!
A new quad-turbo and supercharger system has been added to the RVM Ohms Generator. Next, we must harness the energy escaping thru the overflow gate, shown here.

Betsy no longer hides when we travel, but she isn't exactly fascinated by the scenery, either. Click image for larger version

Tikka just wandered up front to complain about her lot in life ... and then to steal some of Betsy's rations.

Oh, arrrrhhh! Good planning! We'll be in Augusta till Monday morning. These friends live on a lake and have kayaks, I just learned. Unfortunately, they have just sold their 5-er. 😕
