Today's ride was a quick exploration of taking Route 3 until it I needed to turn around Here's a picture of the Seawater Bay, one of only a few US fjords - glacially carved valleys drowned by the sea (so said the placard describing it). Above that sailboat is Acadia Mountain. That area is really beautiful to ride through.

I could use some dry...
We're 1.5 hours north of Springfield - where Jackie post on FB - about the State Fair RV Park being flooded. Sad. We didn't flood, but it was wet. Lucky for us - and Ommms for all in Louisiana - especially RVers.

Currently it's 70 degrees here - the dew point is 70 and it's 95% humidity. It's like a sauna.

They got to watch me and the birds eat and then we talked and talked and talked while the birds sat inside watching TV. It was dark so sorry, no pics and we were in the screen house so no fire either. It was nice to hear about all the adventures Steve and Mary Ann have taken over the years. Looking forwards to many of those trips myself!

No idea. Haven't even reached Timberlands yet! We are told by reputable natives that we have a couple of nifty high bridges to cross on Hwy 3 going east from here.

Had my first local ersters on 1/2 shell this afternoon (can u say om-nom?), a short walk on a long granite breakwater (only 1 1/2 mi. out of a possible 2), and lots of lovely Maine scenery.

Our hostess buys groceries here, but also bought her wedding gown at the same store 40+ years ago...for $75.

On the way home, we spotted this dog on a hog ... except it wasn't a hog. I dunno. The dog was on a leash, but .... ?

🎼Maņana, 🎶 maņana, 🎵maņana is (almost) good enough for me! We're only about 40 miles away. Let the games begin!

Here we come
Driving down the street
Looking for other mutants
It's the fun we seek

Ha ha were the mutants
People say we mutant around
But we're to busy laughing
And oftentimes clowning around!

Little known fact that I just made up was that The Monkeys were first formed as a band called The Mutants!

Sue I may have to look into that store. Guns, Beer and Wedding gowns. That looks like a perfect franchise opportunity that might do well back in Arkansas!

Just thought I would beat Wayne to the punchline.

Come on down to Tucson this winter, always something going on. We usually spend Oct to Apr there.

Gotta love IL in August! I wish you two, too, could escape. It's humid in southern Maine now & the natives are complaining, but it's nowhere near that bad!

Hello from Lake Superior! Mutants, if you haven't been to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Michigan's Upper Peninsula ... bucket list! We are enjoying it with my older son, Michael, and his girlfriend, Elizabeth. Couldn't be better!

Hope y'all had fun in the Maritimes! Oh wait ... Mutants ALWAYS have fun.

Di and Larry, we will probably catch up with you on Friday.

Kate says hi.

Pictures to come ...

I think the tune is coming to me...is there a "dum diddy um" in the lyrics somewhere? 😉
