Hmm, I'd say someone is getting ready to walk that tightrope. Personally, I'd rather be the one reclining on the bottom boulder.

The moon is up, the flag is spotlighted, and it's just the perfect temperature to sit outside. Phones can't quite do all that a good camera can, but I have to try anyway:

The color isn't right, but I still like this one:

And The Highwaymen are on the outdoor TV. How decadent is that!

Uh oh, SIL could be sister or son in law. My apologies, sir.

Nope! He was in his truck, binocularing steadily.
Flashback: a ranger stopped to chat as we toured Organ Pipe Cactus NP. The flow of migrants has died off by nearly half. 3 scout/spotters arrested. And more that would be best not said here!

I watched the moon rise over the mountains to the south of us tonight. I don't ever recall having watched a rising of the moon before tonight. It was so much faster than I expected -- from just a dim glow from behind the distant mountains to that huge orange ball seemed to only take a few short minutes -- and then as it changed from orange to white. What a marvelous world we live in!

Agreed. If we would only pay attention!

Oops

Think we should have been further south, currently in Mattoon Illinois, but the pull of family kept us here until today. Will continue to sort and stash and head towards Arkansas today.

Bring a coat but leave the white stuff up there! Have you checked with your brother, he may have gotten some snow Saturday and again this morning. Don't worry AR has their best snow plow working on it. Nothing but rain down our way.

Ed and Jackie,
COME ON DOWN
your the next mutant to ride the rainbow!

Richard, you and Queen Ann doing ok? We've penciled in July 15 as our departure date toward Ca. and will be staying around Oceanside for a few days before heading North. I'm sure you've read we're planning to take the southern route to Ca. Some say it will be hot!
After getting to Ca. we will slow down and tour!
