But one needs to remember that seeing Mary ans Queen Ann is worth the price we pay for being around you and Richard.
Best wishes to all for the safe arrival of the twins Ohms for our dear Ann.

I do believe "you deserve a break today!" You weren't trying to compete w/ Carl, were you? If so, give it up!
We're up/over in Wickenburg, about to explore town ... western art, street statues that tell stories, team roping, & whatever else we can find. This is a horse-friendly cg, so part of walking takes us past horse pens, trailers, & feed buckets. My kinda place!
It's a bit cooler here as elevation changes, so G&Ts are on hold. We think of you, though!

Hey Richard, nobody who was there is liable to forget the Hail of a GC! At least certain parts of it!
How's Queen Ann? Sending ommms.

We enjoyed Wickenburg, easy to see everything in one day. If you like more to see, try Lake pleasant. Definitely worth seeing, and not a far drive.
I don't think it's ever too cold for Debbie to have her happy hour G&T!

Gambel quail visit under the birdfeeders daily, but are hard to catch on film.
New growth on one of the chollas.
If life gives you peccary skulls ...
... decorate them w/ a woodburner.
Neighbor David w/ skull & a driftwood rattler. He's carved the head & rattle, ready to spend hours carving each scale on the body.
David's main activity is making inlaid walking sticks & canes. Using different cacti & woods, he uses the natural grain & fissures to set in turquoise fragments. Each one, of course, is unique & fascinating.
Enough for one post, maybe. I'll let someone else get a word or 2 in edgewise. 😇

"Oh the river is wide ..." and it's also underground, great for walking and horseback riding. Tracks included horse, of course, tire, tennis shoe, dog, and the occasional deer. Oh yes, and the obligatory train across the valley.
This isn't a place you'd want to be in a rainstorm. Look how high the wood & trash piled up last time.
There's been just enough rain to bring up delicate beauty like this hardy plant. And the 15-20' shrub I can't identify.
Coffee, give me coffee ... bright sunshine & a cool NNW breeze require coffee! Have a good one, y'all. Mutate on!

I've been greedily eyeing the piles of fresh & aging fertilizer out back. Martin indicates rather firmly that we aren't taking any home w/ us. Dang!
My home garden will be late again, but we've had fresh Swiss chard, beet greens, lettuce, radishes & such, with cherry tomatoes & beans coming along. It's enough to keep the gardener in me satisfied.
Happy planting day, Marty!

Wayne, solved my Bing problem. Malaware Bytes has a fix for that unwanted Micro$oft addon that I didn't want.
