My only concern would be squeezing in 60 feet of RV +trailer and the car, assume there are some longer spaces. Don't really need a lake view...
I'm certain that a 600 space cg has room to park a trailer for a week. Marisa said the spaces that will be set aside for our group are big rig friendly.

Heck, if it's your first time in that area, you'll have sooooooo much to visit within a 100 -150 miles of Mackinaw City that you can find a cheap place to store you trailer and not need it for 2-3 weeks for your next major move.

[QUOTE=Diwizi;3811950]There us also a state park right across the bridge, Straits SP, upper portion would work....

Mill Creek has some policies I hate. Worst for me is...when RV friends stay there the park wants me to pay a visitor fee before I go to their site to pick them up so we can take them touring or out to eat. Then they have the exclusive wood policy.
Sites are priced well but add ons are the way they make some more $.

MI state parks...Not MH friendly if you tow. Pay camp fee and permit for each motor vehicle. If you have motorcycle on a lift and tow you pay 3 motor vehicle permits.
When you get to your site is basic. Dirt or worn out gravel. No sewer, no water and in some parks you have a shared elec pedestal for 4 campers or more. If the park is up dated and you will have your own elec. w/50amp. Shared elec. is 30 amp. The State Parks have the best land. Almost always on a body of water. The Great Lakes a inland lake or a nice river.
If you want to try the State Parks their are 2 just South of the bridge, they within 30 miles of Of Mackinaw City. Wilderness State park or Cheboygan State Park. A little further South Is Rogers City State Park and just inland from there is Black Lake State Park. Black Lake is where I live.

FEUMGC First Ever Upper Michigan Grand Curiosity

Man O' man!!! Mere hours and I've heard from CampDaven, Huntnski, Diwizi, Roman Roman, MartySQ, Flaggship1, Bokobird, geocacher, okmunky, PTJeep, and daveandcarol.

1 can't attend
1 not sure if I can attend
1 Sept. 5 - Sept 13
4 Sept. 17 - Sept. 25
5 either date is OK

That's 9 or 10 that are putting it in their plans already. And you can name many others that have attended GC in the past and several "newbies", for a GC, come to mind.

This could be the granddaddy of all Grand Curiosities.

BTW, WHEN THE TIME COMES TO CALL IN YOUR RESERVATION, you can reserve a site for 8 nights, 12 nights, 16 nights. Many place to visit that are relatively close by. A second "landing spot" along the shore of Lake Superior would make visiting Copper Harbor easier.

Anybody else want to cast their vote for GC dates????? Chime in.

The Mustang was in the top. The Jeep was on the bottom and already out when we got here.

Mary Ann posted the above information on Facebook for me. Surrendering to pressure but maybe reach more mutants by doing it.

Now now, Sir Cumference. Mary Ann put the fine words of Papaw (The Lucent One) on the Facebook RV Mutant page for very good purpose! Hey, we know EVERYONE on that page!!!!

Mary Ann and Papaw, can you feel the many hugs in thanks for taking the lead?
The size of RVMville at this GC may eclipse them all!!!

Thank goodness!

I'm surprised you don't stay further north than that desert during the winter - you seem to love to find the coldest spots!
