Nothing a little white paint won't take care of! Can't wait till the mutant graffiti artist get ahold of it. I see flowers and clouds already!

Warning, don't go inside without a lock or block on door to keep someone from pulling a prank and locking you in! We had a guy that would sleep in a small utility trailer with those type door latches. Someone during the night closed the latch on him. Early next morning when he got up, and needing to pee, he realized he was locked in. It wasn't funny! At least not till he cooled down and the threat of him shooting someone was gone. No one ever admitted to doing it. No it wasn't me!

She sure will! Next job is to add some air vents and paint the container with white insulating paint. Wanna come join the painting party?

Not this year but we'll add to our list!
White background should offer a great canvas for some mutant graffiti!

I'm assuming your adding burglar proof vents. Welded bars etc.

No, they are just 2” diameter holes with a rain shield.

Did you get all your conduit bent and installed?

I've seen some pretty skinny bad guys but I think 2" holes should stop them! I
Conduit bent, not like I wanted, but even a season electrician said bending a 10" U is not something they normally do! Project nearly finished, just having to weld some mounting brackets and paint. Cold spell had me postponing working on it. Been gathering items for the next project, off grid septic dump for deer woods. For some reason the deer won't use the outhouse.

I'm thinking she should put at least one with a whistle like a teapot so it will sound off if chitty chitty puts of to much, ahem, gas!

Waiting at the Humane Society

Wednesday: Needed to get Hershey dog groomed. Groomer also boards dogs, Hershey needs a bordatello(sp?) shot first. Thursday: Humane Society does a vaccination clinic certain days so off we go. Clinic hours 1-4 PM. Get there at 1:30, room already full. Do paperwork and wait. Wait 2-1/2 hours. Call name, go on another smaller room, pay for shot ($ 18). Wait some more. Finally go in exam room. Weigh dog, assistant looks him over, gets shot ready, says vet will be in shortly. Wait a little more. Vet comes in, checks heart, temperature, fells all over for odd lumps or something. Ready for shot - surprise, vaccine is nasal application, shoots it into dog nostrils like a squirt gun. Short discussion about dog overall health, medicines, etc. PROS: Vet checkup and 'shot' all for $18. (Bonus: Vet is nice guy.) CONS: about 3 hours waiting time in small room with lots of people and lots of dogs. Fortunately most dogs were pretty laid-back.

Story part 2: Time to go home, right? Wrong. Carol says are they still open, let's look at some puppies. Oh boy. Short version of story - they are and (after putting Hershey in one of the 'acquaintance' rooms for safekeeping) we do. Lots of pit bull mixes, several 'lost' dogs being held for their owners to come get them. Carol wants to see small dogs so we concentrate their. Found a couple of promising ones. Only 2 hurdles to clear now. Will Humane Society let full-timers adopt and will Hershey dog accept a new pack member (that will be the tough one)?.

Will a couple of old farts in an RV be acceptable as loving dog adopters? Will the old dog be willing to accept the new one? All this and more will be revealed in the next episode of As the RV Turns...

Too bad they won’t accept Hershey's recommendation. I'm sure he would give you and Carol 5 stars and comment that you were easily trained to do his bidding.

I just discovered that Tractor Supply has a low cost vet clinic every Saturday. Reasonably priced shots and basic tests. I guarantee you won’t wait 3 hours. The vet is only there 90 minutes.

Nah- they're catering for the kids. Its Spring Break and the place is filling up!

No, this group of mutants like ice cream. The empty bowl we take back to our camper every time Mary makes the homemade ice cream is proof!
