QT was a chewer... still can destroy a cloth toy in less than 10 minutes, but she loves to ride..... she outgrew harness chewing because she knows that means go...

Now if you read this far... I found out last night, I got my first painting accepted into the Florida Watercolor Society.... more on that later, but I am super excited...

Duh! How big and heavy are your crates. For Miya it would have been at least a 42 inch and possibly a 48 inch crate. The 42" we have is 35 pounds. To heavy to put on the couch and rub the fabric/leather. Ha ha, Miya put her feet up on the dash to look out. Any idiot that brake checked us would have had Miya's belly cushioning her.

Yep, knew about out the window and eyes but she was the master and we were the pets so she got her way. She'd let you know if she wanted the window down, especially if cows or horsy were involved.

Sure going to try and have Lexi trained the same way. Right now I'm wondering who's doing the training, her or us.

You have a smaller dog now...

we have 4 crates, 2 in the house and 2 in the rv, we got tired of moving them back and forth.... In the rv, i put a throw on the sofa and over the back, to protect, then the crates go on top.... easy to move... they will let me know if I put the right crate in the wrong spot...they have their preferred places for their crates.... and they like to be able to see me...

One thing i will suggest if you are looking for a crate, these have the door lift to the top, so the door isnt in the way...






And it would be easier if there were just 2 members... lol, there are over 1,000 in the FWS...

On a trip back to Connie from Yuma passing thru a Boarder Patrol checkpoint, we got stopped.....guards wanted pics of Sena and it made their day!......and she's interacting a little with me on our trips.....big deal for me....

It gets better Bob. When she decides she wants to sit in your lap, grab your lapels and tell you all her woes. The sobbing, weeping and gnashing are truly memorial. She is a treat to be around when she wants you to be there. Enjoy,

The recommended size for Lexi is a 42 inch. Time will tell, but she is supposed to be between 35 and 50 pounds. Until about 2 years old it will be difficult to tell. Miya was 68 pounds and she was not a real big dog but she would have required a 42 inch or larger also.


Speaking of Lexi, she is truly amusing. Keeps us chuckling.

Went to the vet yesterday for a healthy dog check-up. Vet says she is doing well but a little thin. He also said that if she is taking a nap to not wake her up.

So, the routine has been that I would play with her around 11 p.m. for 45 minutes or longer then put her to bed.
Well, last evening she was wandering around looking for something to do and around 10:45 p.m. walked into her cage, laid down and went to sleep.

Okay, don't wake her. Early to bed for me and there I go. I listened for her cry to go out but it never came. Earlene got up around 5 for her potty break and Lexi was still sleeping.

Earlene went back to bed and read for awhile and around 6 ish got up and put Lexi out as she woke up.

Can y'all with children equate to that first night the baby slept all the way through!!

I hope it is going to be a habit.

I suspect Lexi will be setting her own schedule from now on. And out smarting you on a regular basis. Sounds like she’s a keeper.

FWIW, I have settled on Royal Canin dog food for Bella. It was recommended by her vet. Royal Canin has both wet and dry food, breed specific choices. Not cheap, but I have found that for real nutrition and health, they're the best.
You see all the ads on TV about purity etc on dog food brands......but Royal Canin is the real deal. They are the only food that every single ingredient has been studied and developed by vets. No junk ingredients or fillers or by products of any kind. Bella loves it, and doesn't have to eat a lot to be satisfied, and gets needed nutrition, and maintains her weight health. Happy dog! I highly recommend it.

On the subject of dog food - I consult www.dogfoodadvisor.com when choosing Lily’s food. They rate them all by the ingredients and send out warnings of dog food recalls. Right now she is on Wag that I get from Amazon.

Lily used to eat Costco's dry and wet foods which are also 4 stars, but after eating Wag at my brother's house stopped eating them.

I also get the dogfoodadvisor alerts, and my doggies are on Wellness Core for small Breed.... wellness has a 5 star, and my dogs love it... plus i now get delivery from Chewy.com, as it is not always in small stores, and chewy lets me have an auto delivery to whatever address I request,

Wellness core was approved by both of the vets we use...
