Ray, thank you for your post of "Red's Pledge of Allegiance"

My Wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Red in the mid 90's while he was in Las Vegas selling some of his art work. We bought one of his signed paintings Titled "I Love You" and had our picture taken with him. His painting and our picture with Red still hangs on our living room wall today.

We found him to be a very gentle, humble, and sincere person, and with his passing the entertainment industry lost an irreplaceable comedian and our Nation lost a true patriot.

Best regards to all

My son who is a school teacher told me not long ago his school sent home permission slips to be signed by the parents of students allowing them to stand and participate in the pledge. Only half were returned Oh how I worry about the future of our country.

Thank you for posting this!

I loved Red as a young boy and still enjoy him on satellite radio oldies. As for the Pledge, we need, so badly need a draft. Neutering our sons helps neither them, our daughters nor our country.
