Remember MIA's & POW's....

I meant to post this on Veteran's Day and got side-tracked. Decided to post anyway.

Back, towards the end, of the Vietnam War a grass-roots effort started to do something simple to show that you remembered the POW's and MIA's of the war.

When you mailed anything (and back then, that was the only way to send communicaitons ) turn the stamp upside down. It was so simple that it really caught on.

40 years later and I still do it. People see me do it and ask why or some say 'you're putting it on upside down-- at which point I tell them why I am doing it. Most say that is a good idea and they are now doing it.

So everytime that I mail anything, as I put on my upside down stamp, I remember all of our service people- past Wars and present Conflicts- and just say "may God Bless and keep them All".

I've gotten one from time to time. Never knew "the rest of the story". I'll never look at an envelope having an upside down stamp the same.

There is great need for a sarcasm font.
