We are planning on travelling over the pond this December for a month or two and want to rent an A Class RV for part of our trip
But even with the aid of google, I dont seem able to find anyone who rents out A Class, but plenty of C Class...
Has anyone any knowledge they can share with me. We will be travelling to florida initially.
Cheers

Having spent a fair amount of time across the pond, I'm not sure I'd want something as big as a class A to rent and drive there. Reasons being the road sizes, fuel costs, unfamiliarity of driving on the "wrong" side of the road, etc, etc.

Our English friends (he, a pro lorry driver) always marvel at the sizes of everything we drive here. They own and travel in a small van conversion.

That's what I'd rent.

I believe that the Iceman is coming over here to the US.I do not know of rental companies,I've never rented before.I can't imagine that google does not have any info for class A units.May be that that large an RV is not available for rental.

Aaaahhhaaaa! My mistake.

Prior to buying our Class A Winne we rented both C's and A's from a local RV dealership here in Richmond VA. McGeorge's RV.

Here is a link for their site with lots of models:
Rentals

If Richmond VA doesn't work for you, I'd assume other RV dealerships across the US have similar rental programs.

Best of luck and enjoy your visit here.

Hi Ice-Man,
Go to:

Contact Goss RV Motor Home RV Rental

or

USA RV Rental - Compare Motorhome Rental Deals with Fetch

or

Motorhome/RV Rental Simi Valley, California

or

Luxury RV Rentals - Ft Lauderdale & Orlando Let's Go On An Adventure!

to see if this is something you would be interested in. These choices were obtained by GOOGLING "USA RV Rental". All rent class A coaches. There are more to choose from. These were just the choices I got from the first page.

Welcome to the USA.

Excellent - thanks all. Google over here was only throwing out RV centres who sell 'em and not rent 'em.
So thanks again for the info.

Hi Ice-man, Know this was almost 12 months ago but did you have any luck renting a Class A?
We live in Australia and have a Class A motorhome booked for June this year in the US which we have booked thru Goss RV in Atlanta. I haven't found any reviews about them on the net, but they were featured on HGTV, so just hoping they are legit etc...!
If anyone has used them or has any comments about them l would really appreciate it.
Cheers
Sue
