Restaurant Recommendations in Galveston, TX

Ate a quite a few places, these would be our top 5

#1 Eat Cetera - awesome lunch place
#2 Rudy & Paco - Latin American
#3 Farley Girls Cafe - Good Brunch
#4 Los Campos Taqueria
#5 Sunflower Bakery & Cafe

EDIT: Sorry didn't see the seafood and American request, #1,3 & 5 fit the american, to be honest I wasn't impressed with many of any of the seafood places. But if you want to step out of your mold #2 is one of the better Latin American places I have been too.

We were there in March.....

For seafood the locals all go to "Shrimp n Stuff" on 3901Avenue "O"

We make several stops there during the week stay.....a local police officer recommend it to us 15 years ago - When I ask "where the local eat seafood?"

Not seafood but we were told the café across the street just past JB serves a got lunch........

Girlfriend just gently reminded me that I forgot to mention

Pho Tai - very good vietnamese food
Courtyard Cafe - very good Eastern European food.

Just FYI Shrimp and Stuff serves a lot of deep fried seafood and boiled shrimp. Not really what we are looking for in a seafood place (you can see their menu on google) - if this is the type of seafood you are looking for then there are lots of places to choose from in Galvenston.

For seafood we ended up going to Katie's Seafood Market and buying our own and had dinner with another couple who complained about the lack of good seafood restaurants in the area too.

We liked Bubba Gumps seafood when we were there last year. Stayed at Jamaica Beach also. Very nice campground. Watch out for the grass burrs if you have a dog to walk though.
