Congrats to all you new retirees. For me it was June 2010 on a buy out. I love it and have not been bored once. How was there ever time to work. DH still working but he is mobile so FL is or winter home now. Enjoy!

Congrats on your retirement. Cheryl retired in Jan., 2011 to take care of me during my recovery from knee replacement. Nice to have a nurse in the house. I finished my PT, went back to work for a month and decided I had given enough. Retired June 30 and haven't looked back. Everybodt kept saying "If you get bored, you might want to get a part time job", NOT!!! I can find enough busy work keeping the house shipshape, and if we want to load up and go we do. Best thing we ever did.
Being retired means you can put off till tomorrow what you could have done today

Charlie, glad to see your retiring!! I retired from the military in 1994 (after 24 years). Have enjoyed everyday since!! Living on retired military pay isn't easy, but we enjoy our life and can do most of the things we want. ENJOY LIFE, YOU'RE EARNED IT!!!

The word retirement hardly expresses the joy of it. On 4/2 I begin year 9 of retirement. We are relatively new to MH'ing but do enjoy it. Congrats to all who have done it and for those contemplating it .... just do it. Like so many others I have not looked back once. Never felt like it was a mistake. Extremely happy to be retired. Don't put it off a day longer than necessary.

Congratulations! Now you have the freedom to decide every day what to do and who to do it with. The freedom is wonderful and it makes all those years of working and planning worth it.
Enjoy life, stay busy, and have fun!

Why do we say "old fart"? Every one is a new one.

It's probably a lot nicer than what they are really thinking. Do you remember what you used to think of RV'ing retirees when you were younger ?????
