Congratulations to both of you. I thing you'll find that RVing is even more fun when you don't have a schedule of any kind.
BTW: thank you for your service.

Awesome! Congrats! My DW is retiring in December but I still have 2 more years before we go FT.

And Ditto on Selah's comment about your service to our country. Happy trails.

We are trying REAL HARD to do that! Unless there is some unforeseen, catastrophic event we will be retired by Dec 1st. In the mean time we moved into our new local CG spot yesterday! We have a few more things to get out of the house and it goes on the market VERY SOON! Our hope it to be retired closer to October 1st, run up the Sioux Falls, SD to establish residency then to Billings, MT for a week to visit friends then beat feet to the TX Rio Grande Valley for winter. We hope to have time to stop by the Plano, TX area on the way down to spend some time with my good friend Steve (Flaggship1/RVM2) before it gets too cold.

We are selling our S&B and hoping to be on the road by June 1. Waiting to hear today if all sale conditions will be removed. We can't wait. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

We've purchased the Benchmark maps for Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico and plan to spend the next couple of years exploring those states. Already have our mail forwarding service setup in South Dakota. We are ready to hit the road as full timers ... as soon as the house sells.

Yes! We'll hit the road sometime around July 22nd, my retirement officially begins August 1st (I have many vacation days coming and will use some to get outta here).

Our S & B sold without even trying. A neighbor knew we were contemplating full timing and told her friend that wanted our house. We had a cash offer without even listing the property. We're in the process of selling everything else that won't go with us.

56 years old and looking forward to the first day of the rest of my life (retirement).

So excited I almost forgot to add...Congratulations papaw.1!

We are both retiring in June and hitting the road full time on July 15. Can not wait. Congrats to all of you that are retiring, we all have worked a long time and deserve this new lifestyle.

July 12th is the date that I turn off the work computer and walk out the door forever. Happiness is work in the rear view mirror. The house is sold and we are full-time in the 5er. Come on July 12th.
