Must have been some strange reason for the riot. I watched curling back in the mid 80's and from what I recall, It was like watching paint dry.... but that's just my opinion, your mileage may vary......

When I moved to northern Minenesota after college, the guys I worked with were telling me stories about some supposed sport called "curling".

Oh, sure, ya know, a rock, a broom, yah, on ice, ya know. Ufda, oh my, we're going to get this newbie to the north to go on a snipe hunt right after some supposed sport called curling.

They must be thinking I'm some sort of fool to belive them......

Curling is a very physical sport
standing on ice without a hockey stick is sacrilegious! !

Nobody can riot as well as soccer fans. They usually have more fatalities after the game than points scored in the game.
