RIP Ernest Borgnine

Another sad day Ernest Borgnine dies today at age 95.
A Navy WWII Vertern and a talented entertainer is gone.
One of the good guys in the business.
Me he rest in peace.

I got around to reading the NYT article on his death this morning.

As Hollywood star deaths go his is kind of rare.. Died in a hospital after an illness of natural causes it seems.

He was a great actor, and a good person. Liked him in both as McHale and as Dominic Santini.

All the great old time entertainers are dying out. Folks like Earnest Borgnine, and Andy Griffin are now far and few between. These type actors lasted in the business for many years. Now it seems that actors flash brightly for a short season then go dark. I remember seeing Mr. Borgnine on some tv show where he was showing his motorhome and talking about how he and his wife enjoyed the coach. One thing for sure, good looks was not what made his living, it was his ability and staying power.
