Rocker Switch (lighted)

The rocker switch on the dash for the steps got broken while we were installing a new stereo system in our 82 Fleetwood Pace Arrow P30 Workhorse. I have been looking all over the web sites for one.

The steps will open and close every time you open the door or you can shut it off when you are parked and the steps stay out.

I am not even sure what brand the steps are. I have all manuals but not one for the steps.

Any ideas on where to keep looking?. Its a Chev would I call a Chev Dealer Parts dept. or other rv parts sites. Any way of finding out brand of steps system.

There are several types of rocker switches but I think you are looking for a "Carling" switch.

"Carling" is actually a brand name, but they make just about every type of rocker switch available. Others make the Carling style switch, but just like the Crescent Wrench, the Carling name has become synonymous with this style rocker switch.

Sometimes these are referred to as Marine Carling switches so you might try Googling that also.

I purchased several of these type switches for a project a couple of years ago, I just don't recall from where. I'll try to see if I can find my e-receipt and provide an update here.

I know a bunch of these are available on EBay.

Check out this link. I purchased several Carling Contura style switches in different configurations a couple of years ago.

Surprised I found the old e-receipt... but I am a bit of a pack rat.
