Rude neighbors

Great campground. We love this place and come here often, but space is limited and sometimes you end up with neighbors like this. This is not my van. They backed into our site while I sat in my chair and then he complained about the space. Obviously they don't want to block their space.

We are at Shenandoah camoground in Verona VA. Nice stocked trout pond and river that circles the campgound that we drift around in tubes.

I was going to build a fire in the fire ring. How big should I build it?

I hope you build a blazing fire and the van windows are open.

Oh yeah.... stack the wood up about 2 feet deep... make a production out of it... lots of noise. Set out 2 bottles of lighter fluid... in plain sight of them, of course.... and matches... a BIG box of matches. Then call over and say " Y'all have a fire extinguisher with you, right ?"....Just to make sure they're watching you.Spray the entire contents of the first bottle of lighter fluid over the wood in sweeping motions... walk all around the ring and swing your arm baaaaccckkkk and foooorrrrttthhhh....say "Ooops ! Sorry about that.. I'll clean it off.....take a paper towel and wipe a spot on the front fender of the van once the bottle is empty. THEN..... grab a box of matches.... strike a couple and let them burn out. Pay very close attention to the flame... stare at it..... then, strike one and drop it in the fire ring as you quickly take a few steps back. With any luck, you will hear a loud " WOOF " and start getting some black smoke. Perhaps this will get them to move it.... OR.... if they aren't paying attention, call out "HONEY ! Bring me the fire extinguisher ! The damned fire jumped out of the ring ! " LOL If all else fails, put a bug in the managers ear and let them handle it. Most camps do not allow parking on the grassy areas,or even mats on a grassy area. Have some fun with this....:-P

If he is partially on your site then I would just tell him to move it. If that didn't work I would talk to the management. You pay for your site, and as small as they are he can park on his own or move on. Good luck.

I mentioned that I needed my site space that he should park his van like i parked my jeep and he just walked off.

I have been biting my tounge. We did talk to the manager and turns out they are leaving tomorrow. We think we will just have fun with him tonight. I like all the ideas and I think we is going' to have us a bonfire tonight.

After politely telling him to get it back into his site, I would in no uncertain terms tell him to MOVE IT. And then head to the office to complain.

Start piling up fire wood right under the back bumper and point out that it might singe the thing a bit.

Another thought, move your vehicle over to their site and point out that you do not have room on your site due to a large van.

Oh and rude is not the proper descriptive term...Ignorant and stupid are probably better suited.
