I go snowmobiling and ice fishing hours from the house so being able to do it in a dp allows me multi day excursions, night time snowmobiling and fresh cooked cut throat trout. The comfort of the coach blows away the term roughing it..

Cheers

We'd like to try it but the weather just hasn't been cooperating here in Zephyrhills, FL. Been here two weeks today and the temps have easily averaged 75.

I'd love to try camping in snow...but not driving in it. How can this be accomplished, short of parking in one northern region for a few months?

As an Alaskan driver I can promise you driving in the snow it not an issue at all. Stopping can be problematic though

We see a lot of off road RVs in our neck of the woods. Some of the really cool old Revcons are still running around.

Might be an opportunity for you to rent an off road RV and tour the beautiful state of Alaska.

Send a message via Yahoo to frederick w
I didn't think I would get this much response on my new thread!

As I look out my window, there's snow on top of my MH, it's parked along side the house.

The wife and I got terrible colds and the flu is not letting up. I'm not going outside let alone a stay in the snow.

You guys are gusty, or ?

I have been in Conroe, 40 miles north of Houston, since Thanksgiving. Days have been 50-75 degrees with nights mostly in the 50's. There has been one cold front that got below freezing. Today it was 75, tonight it rained with cooler weather forecast for the next 3 days. Not great, but beats snow.
