If you will search the forum you will find lots of threads about covers. I believe the general consensus is that covers are more trouble than they are worth, and don't hold up very well. Some covers actually cause scuffing of the RV finish. That said, we store our moho in covered storage (roof), so we have never tried an actual cover.

As noted above, covered storage is the best way to go. Other cover problems include trying to get it up on the roof, where to store it when off in your RV, the RV may wear holes in the cover, some give no access to the RV with the cover on...

Covered storage is the way to go. Saves a lot of weathering of the RV.

The canvas covers are a real pain to get on and off.

Reasons for covering an RV include:

  • Keeping it out of the sun to protect the outer surfaces.
  • Keeping it cool
  • Protecting it from rain and snow which could accumulate on the roof and/or contribute to leaks.

covers are great if youre going to wash/wax/clean the RV before installing. Otherwise you are covering "dirt & debris" which gets embedded in the cover and will eventually scratch the RV you are trying to protect.

A carport/garage is the best type of protection.
