I've stayed there a few time. The landscaping is awesome (pretty much as nice as anywhere) in the newer phases. Tooling around in golf carts is enjoyable as well and the rodeo is fun even for me (not really a rodeo guy). Oh and in the warmer months they have awesome thunder storms with the land heating and the coastal cooler air clashing. If you like storms like I do this is a nice benefit. I find it rather sedate Sunday through Wednesday but otherwise good fun. I guess my best advise would be to stay a few weeks and see how you like it after you are conditioned to the atmosphere it offers.

Good idea. Weather not a issue. We only live 60 miles away. Still in S&B Do not plan on spending all summer there. Will be traveling then. Ever been there in season?

I have been there in the winter months. It's more festive and there are more planned events since the occupancy is higher. Last I checked there were quite a few lots for sale, some quite nice. Since you're close by you'd be able enjoy it as a weekend retreat etc. If you're sure you want to own a lot I think it's worthy of consideration. What I don't really know is the surrounding area and things to do other than fishing. Good luck regardless.

Going back for the third time Monday. My sister is going to look to see about renting for the winter. Possible buying in february. We are 90 percent convinced that we want to buy there.
