I suspect that there is plenty of both but the RV.Net moderators clean it up or delete things entirely. I've seen some of the closed threads before they were sanitized. It was awful. I've always felt that RVers were generally kind reasonable people and have been shocked at some of the strings of posts that have been made by RV.Net people.

IMHO, the failure there is that they address the sins but not the sinners. Many of the ones responsible for the closed or deleted threads are permitted to continue posting and getting more threads closed or deleted. They could have and should have instituted at least a three strikes and you're out policy. Perhaps they have now because I haven't seen some of the worst offenders do bad things in a while. I will admit that I don't monitor that forum nearly as closely as I used to so it could be still happening more frequently than I understand.

We went to their sweetheart rally once- felt like an outsider. Members over there can tell about this place and this specific person who works on coaches, but when I told someone I did flooring - they gave me a tongue lashing. They are in a class by themselves- perhaps thats where they want to be~

I like this forum much better. less confrontational and IMHO much more helpful. Here it feels more like a close neighborhood or expanded family. There it is clicky like high school.

I spend many hours on the net reading forums but I seldom post. I have noticed that there is a lot of negetive posts critizing people for their lack of knowledge, their spelling, grammer, sentence composition and anything else they can think of to belittle someone. I like it here so think I will stay awhile.

haulinhazmat, I see this is your first post. Glad you stopped here. Be sure and visit the Owners forms for the various manufacturers. Don't be bashful, just jump in where you feel comfy.

I like it here too, been here 10 years. Great place to pick up info on all aspects of the RVing world.

Learned a lot, over the last 10 years. But still much more to learn.....My current RV has been very good to me....5 years old and nearing 300 nights.

RV Forums

Well, when we first got the 5ver in '08, I found the RV Forums. They were very helpful. Now, not so much, but I do keep looking just in case I find something new. I like this forum

I have spent quite a bit of time on RV Forum, learning about stuff, since I am new. I have to agree with some of the posters here, though. Every time I Got up the nerve to post a reply to anything over there, it seems like I was ignored. They have their group of friends that hang together and outsiders don't seem welcome. This is only my opinion, and if I'm wrong, mea culpa. But I feel much more welcomed over here, I have to admit.
