RV'n Firefighters

Just wondering how many active or retired firefighters, EMT's or Paramedics are around. I've been in PublicSafety for over 20 years and would love to meet a group and get together to camp in SC.

Retired in 2006 from The Cincinnati Fire Department after 25 years of service. I loved my job and the people I worked with. The mind was writing checks that the body couldn't cash anymore and it was time for this old timer to go. Spent my entire career in very busy fire houses in ghetto area's of Cincy's and I wouldn't change one thing if I had it to do all over again.
Retired Firefighter, 2008 Silverado 3500HD, Husky 26K Hitch pulling a 2013 Voltage 3200 Epic with a 2003 Harley FLHRCI and a 1998 EZGO Golf Cart in the toy box

I spent 25 years (And change) telling cops where to go for a living (Great job, Get PAID to tell cops where to go).. I have nothing but admiration for Firemen,, I mean who walks INTO a burning house? Well, I did have two troopers do it . once, (Got medals too) but for you guy, it's just another day on the job.

And that idiot who shot at a bunch for firemen recently, then it appears offed himself to avoid prosecution.....

I would rather he had been caught, arrested, convicted and turned over to the FD for target practice with the high pressure hoses.

(Yes, I do tend to think a bit bloody, but it's still better than he deserved.. The only saving item here is I do go to church, and church tells me a suicide, in his case, is reewaded for all eternity with what I think such a person deserves).
Home is where I park it!

Thank you all for your service. I taught a two course series for the local community college at the main firehouse in Charlottesville, VA - Physics for Firefighters - the last 6 credits needed for the fire science degree. I gained a whole new respect for the men and women who choose to fight fires for a living. Thank you all for your service.

29 years as a state cop in NJ and not ready to retire just yet. Firefighters and EMT's are some of the bravest men and women I've ever seen in action over the years......There is no better calling to public service and to be more proud of................and God knows that truth.
