Sad Day

Last Tuesday we had to put down our 12 year old female Jack Russell. Xray revealed large tumor putting pressure on her heart and lungs. She was having a hard time breathing so it was the kindest thing to do for her. Our hearts are broken, and it will take awhile to feel better. Our little male J.R. (Patchy) is really feeling lost without her. They have traveled many miles and places over the years with us and she will be sadly missed.

I feel your pain. We lost our 13 year old Jack about 2 1/2 years ago Not a day goes by that I don't think about her and then I smile thinking she is in a better place. Hang in there, the pain does not go away but gets easier to deal with.

Losing the unconditional love and companionship of a pet is one of the worst pains in life. I hope your heart heals soon and the laughter and smiles that come with remembering your pup comfort you.

Sorry for your loss. We have seven of our Great Dane "kids" buried in the back pasture. Never an easy thing to do. Just remember " All dogs go to heaven".

Sorry to hear of your loss.
We lost Clara, a Beagle / Cocker spaniel mix (!) on June 21, 2013.
She was 18 years old.
We understand the hole that is left.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Our 4-legged friends become our babies and very much a wonderful part of our lives. I have a lil dog, Bruiser (min-pin/chau. mix) and 4 cats. I had to put Bruisers father down due to old age and my old cat ( Precious) came up missing reciently-after about 15 years. I miss them both. May you and your other baby find comfort in your many special memories.

After losing Shelby , our 10 yr old rescue Dane, our boy, Oliver, (Dane in my sig pic) was lost.... We tried to give him extra attention, but ended up a few months ago getting a pup from the local shelter,,, supposed to be a Dane mix, but not so sure now...(only 75 lbs at maybe 11 months old) Too late, she is stuck with us for life... So give it some time,,, then go save a life....
