Dad and uncles....all veterans of that war. Dad was in the Ruhr Pocket with the 101st Airborne on V.E. Day. RIP.

Pop was US Army and then US Air Force. He was in WWII and Korea. At one point he was a Flight Line chief for the Flying Tigers in the Asian theater. Retired in 1957. Now deceased.

I rarely support the politicians, but I always support the troops. When I got out of the Air Force in 1970, people spat at us and made us ashamed of being in the military. Now we're smarter and more mature. We celebrate the troops coming home, and show the joy and pain of the family reunions. This is the way it should be. Always.

Dan.
USAF 1966-1970. I got out with everything intact, mentally and physically. Some of my friends were not so lucky. Several are on the wall.
