saw a sad sight today
Today As I drove in to get my mail.
I saw a sad sight. I will start from the beginning.
Sept 28th the building that my local post office is in had a Fire. 70-80? year old building. with an apartment on the back.
The apartment burned. post office got smoked up but OK. apartment had a basement garage.
Garage held a 64-66 Mustang Convertible,.... which was pushed out during the fire. It didn't stop when it hit a fence, and went down a VERY steep grade in a pasture about 40 feet till the rear hit and embankment and it now sits with a tarp over the top and you can see the Rear bumper, Deck lid, and quarter panels are ALL bent upward. And the rear wheels are NOT touching the ground because of the ditch it sits over.
Total shame.

Thank you, fire department, for saving my car from the fire - NOT! (A little sarcasm))
I know it's not their duty to "save" a car, but if you pull it out, at least make sure it stops somewhere safely.
Wonder if any cows were harmed during the mishap?

Getting it out , before any fuel on board added to the fire. 
Getting back a dented Pony Car , rather than a bucket of ashes.

Old boss, years ago, said to always leave the keys in you vehicle if you park it in your garage.
If there is a fire, they can drive it out, or at least get it in neutral to roll it out.
I am a Classic Cougar owner myself. 1969 XR7 convertible, 351W, 4-speed. Would hate to see it burn up!

Had a fire engine red 67 mustang when I was 18. Now I am 56.
Traded it for a motorcycle. Transmission was blown. Wonder why? Canadian winters?
Abusive young driver? Ah well!

It actually did not say the Fire Department pushed it out. A reasonable assumption but maybe not.
