Griswold, and Wagner,
are the two brands of cast iron-ware you should watch for at yard sales, etc. These are old names and the quality of the cast iron is vastly better than the Lodge brand today. They will maintain their seasoning longer, cook better, and you'll enjoy using them better too. I have an old Wagner cast iron dutch oven with the original trivot for sitting over hot coals that is my pride n joy. No-one touches it but me. Only 8 burning charcoal briquets will cook a stew, beans, 5 bakes cornbread, biscuits, etc.
Alas those days are history, I developed type 2 diabetes; which limits me to 200 total carbs/day. My Wagner dutch oven is just a conversation piece today.
