Wow, Alan, I had no idea Kaiser could be so expensive. Medicare is a good thing! I pay $105/mo for my Part B and $99 for the Kaiser high option plan. No deductible, office visits are $20 and $30 for specialists. my maximum out of pocket is $2500/ year and things like MRIs and ambulance trips are highly discounted.
My 3 Rx meds will cost $200/ year instead of $225/mo so my savings on meds alone will pay my premiums.
I went 2.5 years without health insurance and thankfully had no major events. I just had to let some things wait -- like my bad knees and back pain. For the first year or so I'll be a major medical care user.
