On my 65th birthday I received a teeshirt that displayed the statement "Senior Citizen now gimme by dam discount" it made the transition to old a little easier.

My Father in Law had a hat that said "I'm an Old Fart, where's my discount?"

I wish I could find it....I gave him a coffee mug that said "Old Fart" on it I still use it now.
Show your AARP card at a lot of places and you will get a discount.
20% @ Denny's
10% @ Subway and Carl's Jr.

I wonder if we can now get away with the old "Fart and Dart" routine?

I prefer Flatuent Geriatric. It sounds so much nicer.

Denny's AARP discount is between certain hours: 6PM and 10PM, I think. As I recall, in the AM, an AARP card will get you a free cup of coffee.

Again, it is always best to check before going to see if the discounts are still in place and if there are any conditions.

I'm at that point I don't have to ask, it's just automatically added to my check-out.

Oh well, I also have Retired Military, and when doing home repairs, a 10% discount at Lowe's or Home Depot is nice.

Even at 1/2 price I can't afford to stay in California state parks. Last I heard they were in the $40 dollar a night range
