Thanks. I don't mind being called old if it comes with a discount.

Thank you for putting this out there. Will print it when I get to my daughters.
We have been pleasantly surprised to get veterens discounts at different tourist stops. My husband always ask now. Lowes and Home Depot both give veterans discounts. I am sure there are many more.

Thanks for the heads up on this post. Any discount these days are a PLUS. Funny thing though there are no gas stations listed. I'll be printing this and put it in the file.

Not everywhere. I asked a waitress in Florida if they had a senior discount. Her reply was: "Sir, look around, everyone is a senior here". (no discount)

Be sure to check ahead of time for the discounts. That list is not completely up to date. Last time I was at an AMC (a couple of months ago), they didn't have senior discounts anymore. When they did, it was 60+, not 55+.

What bites me is I waited to become 55 so I could get the discounts. By the time I reached 55, most places raised the age to 60. Of course, when I hit 60, it was 60 and even 65. Now that I'm 62, many more are 65. If, when I hit 65, places are going up to 70, it's going to get ugly!

I get discounts now for being retired military. I hurt so much now at 54 I don't think I'll be able to stand waiting for 65.

Don't forget that most states have their own discount program for state parks if you are disabled...

California's is similar to the Fed parks discount - 50% off o'night camping fees in their state parks...
